Summary[]

Jack, Mary, and Mel have planted three magic beans. Jack, Mary, and Mel say the magic words: "Abracadee, Abracadoo, Biddly-Biddly-Biddly-Boo", and the beans grow a beanstalk. The beanstalk crashes into the ceiling, straight up into the clouds. The beanstalk goes up in the clouds, and the ceiling is broken. Mel notices that the beanstalk is musical because the beanstalk has bells. They climb up the beanstalk, reaching the house of a giant named Biggin, as revealed by Mary once, but she and Jack call him Mr. Giant Sir, a lot of times. "Up" is played. Once they reach the top of the beanstalk, they are amazed by how beautiful everything looks. They meet Biggin. The gang notices that Biggin is sad, because he cannot think of a present for Sha-La La-La's birthday other than what he has given his wife every other birthday: a golden egg. Jack, Mary, and Mel think of a better, more original present. They suggest making up a song. The Schwartzman Quartet enter, singing "Anyone Can Make A Song". Once The Schwartzman Quartet leave, Jack, Mary and Mel say that they can help Biggin think of an original song. They all dance. "In The Clouds" is played. Back at Biggin's house, they try to think of a good song for Sha-La La-La. They come up with "Sha-La-La-La". Biggin is proud of himself for making up a song. They sing "Sha-La-La-La" a few more times. "Deegah Joyah" is played. Back at Biggin's house, Sha-La La-La enters, looking for Biggin. Jack introduces himself. Jack introduces the song that Biggin is about to sing for Sha-La La-La. "Sha-La-La-La (Reprise)" is played. Biggin and Sha-La La-La are happy to be together on the special day. "I Love My Present" is played. Jack hears his mom calling him. It is louder than usual because they are up so high. Jack, Mary, and Mel leave as Biggin and Sha-La La-La hug. In the clubhouse, Jack, Mary, and Mel climb down the beanstalk, saying the magic words again. The beanstalk goes away, and the ceiling is fixed. In the final scene, Jack and Mary sing the goodbye song, then leave the clubhouse.

Trivia[]

  • This is the last episode of the series to air as it was canceled unexpectedly for unknown reasons.
  • It however is not the final episode of the series in production order, as Jack's Super Swell Sing-Along was the final produced episode but was aired as the tenth episode of that season.
  • The episode is a reference to the popular fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk.
  • This episode is the return of three gags from Season 1:
  • The xylophone pattern on Mel's portable tiny Music Machine has the same look as it did in Season 1.
  • Jack's Mom called him at the end of the episode.
  • Jack saying, "was that not super swell or what?" is a callback to "did we not have the spiffiest time today?"
  • This is the only episode which mostly takes place outside the clubhouse.
  • This episode holds the record for the longest opening act in the show, with a whopping 10 minutes before the first music video, In the Clouds, is played.
  • It's also the only episode where The Schwartzman Quartet appears before the first music video starts. This episode also has the shortest second act.
  • Mary reveals the giant's name to be Biggin when she, Jack, and Mel arrive, but she only says it once.
  • The beanstalk doorbell sounds like church bells.
