Silly Show is the thirteenth produced and aired episode of Jack's Big Music Show from the first season, although this wasn't aired for the season, instead it was aired for season two.
Jack, Mary, and Mel start a "Silly Show" in their clubhouse, their goal is to find 7 of the silliest things that could make their boring day more exciting.
Plot[]
"Seven Silly Things" is played. Jack, Mary, and Mel decide to do seven silly things in one day. Mel drumrolls, as Jack and Mary introduce the first silly thing, like a TV show. Silly thing number 1 is Jack and Mary playing piano with feet. They then hear applause. The applause is coming from Mel's Music Machine. Mary introduces silly thing number 2, which is "Mel playing a drum solo". Jack says that Mel playing a drum solo is not silly, until Mel starts to play the drums on a set of watermelons. Jack and Mary laugh. "Googleheads" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Jack introduces silly thing of the day number 3, which is Mel wearing musical instruments and dancing. Silly thing of the day number 4 is Mel tap dancing with tap shoes. "Deep Down" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Jack and Mary think of what to do for the remaining three silly things. Suddenly, it starts to rain ping pong balls. Silly thing of the day number 5 is raining ping pong balls. Jack and Mary continue to think of what to do next. Mary thinks that Earl The Squirrel coming to the door with a singing Baloney Sandwich would be silly. Then, Mary's thoughts come true when a singing squirrel with a baloney sandwich actually does enter and sings "Baloney Sandwich". For the 7th and final silly thing, Jack and Mary ask the viewer to make a silly face. This makes Jack, Mary, and Mel laugh. Jack, Mary, and Mel had the silliest day. Jack and Mary sing the goodbye song, then they both leave the clubhouse, and the applause sound effect is heard the final time after the goodbye song.
This is the first production episode and second aired episode where Spiffy does not say "Spiffy!" in the vanity card for Spiffy Pictures. The second and final time would be in Spunky the Alien.
This is the only episode where the music machine doesn't make xylophone sounds both times.
Before Earl and Baloney Sandwich enter, the clubhouse doorbell sound is reversed.
A crowd can be heard cheering in the background from the Music Machine.
The applause sound effect is heard the final time after the goodbye song.
This is Brian Mueller's last onscreen appearance as the Laurie Berkner Band's bassist before he was replaced by Adam Bernstein.
It is also his only appearance in season two, even though this episode was originally produced in season one.
This is the last produced episode in season 1 and only aired episode for season 2 featuring the colorful swirly background (a wavy pattern with blue and purple on 1 side, and bright orange/yellow/green with a little bit of red on the other) used for the music videos that do not include the Laurie Berkner Band (the exception being "Scared" by Milkshake, which also uses another background that looks different). Season 2 (all in production order) would reuse the plain wallpapers to make different sets.
This is last episode in airing order to take place entirely in the clubhouse.
One of the puppets in the audience is wearing a hat with the Spiffy Pictures logo on it.
In this episode, Mary says, "Definitely!", just like Emmy from Dragon Tales.
