Summary[]Today, Jack, Mary, and Mel are enjoying a new holiday named "Playtime Day" in the clubhouse, doing something different with music. Jack and Mel are about to pretend to blast off into outer space. They count down from 10 to 1, and pretend to blast off into outer space. As they fly in their homemade rockets, "Space Explorers" is played. Jack and Mel overhear Mary from outside. They think that Mary wants to play Space Explorers, too. However, Mary enters with an opera outfit on. Mary wants to play Opera Singer. Jack flies his spaceship toward Mary, then he realizes that Mary is not wearing a space helmet or homemade rocket. Jack tells Mary about this, and of course, she already knows. Mary plans on playing a different game: Opera Singer. Jack asks what opera is. Mary explains that opera is like a play, except the people on stage sing their lines. Jack tries to sing opera, and succeeds. Mary and Mel play an Opera song, where "Mary's Opera 1/I Like Opera Music" is played. Jack is impressed by Mary's opera singing, but he still thinks that Mary should play Space Explorers with him. He asks Mary again, but Mary still thinks Jack should play Opera Singer with her. They end up getting into an argument, repeating the ideas of their ways to play. Mel doesn't want to be involved, so he runs to his music machine and "I'm Glad" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Jack and Mary are still arguing. Mel runs in, barking to tell them that they aren't getting anywhere. Jack agrees. Mary and Mel try to think of how to get along, but end up fighting again. Jack tells Mary how great Space Explorer is, and Mary does the same with her game. The fighting continues until The Schwartzman Quartet enter, singing "What Are They Gonna Do About That?". Jack and Mary decide to play their games by themselves. Mel, however, is overbooked with Mary asking Mel to play Opera Singer, and Jack asking Mel to play Space Explorer, both at the same time. "I'm Not Perfect" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Jack and Mary are playing by themselves. While Jack and Mel are playing Space Explorers, Mary calls Mel to play Opera Singer. Mel runs over to Mary. Mel plays the piano as Mary sings another opera song: "Mary's Opera 2/Days Of The Week" is played. Jack calls Mel to play Space Explorer. Shortly after, Mary calls Mel to play Opera Singer. When Mel runs to Mary and plays the piano again, "Mary's Opera 3/I Like Toast With Jam And Butter" is played. This continues until Mel is out of breath from running back and forth. Tired, Mel lies down, accidentally putting on both hats that he wore during the games. Mel is wearing a Space Opera hat. Jack and Mary notice this, and have the idea to combine both games. They make up a new game called Space Opera. Jack, Mary, and Mel are all in homemade rockets, flying in them while wearing Space Opera hats. "Space Exploring, Opera Singing" is played. Transcript[]Songs[]
