Summary[]"This Song" is played. The doorbell rings. Henry enters, trying to scare the trio. He roars in a very soft and quiet voice. Jack, Mary, and Mel are confused. Henry asks if they are scared. They say no, and Henry tries to leave, but Mary calls him back, asking who he is. Henry says his name and tries to scare them again. No success. "Monster Boogie" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Henry is still trying to be scary. His roars are still soft and quiet. Mary asks why it is so important to be scary in the first place. Henry then shows Jack and Mary his "Scary Monster Family Album". In the book, there are pictures of different monsters that look like Henry. They are all scary, but Henry still isn't. The scariest one of all is the baby monster, Little Baby Sister Coco. Jack and Mary agree to help Henry be scary. Jack gives Henry a scary noise to repeat after, but when Henry does it, it is soft and quiet. Mary does the same thing. The Schwartzman Quarter enter, singing "If You're Scary and You Know It". Henry still cannot be scary. "Scared" is played. Back at the clubhouse, Henry sits on a table sadly looking at his album. Jack, Mary, and Mel look at him, wondering what they can do to help. Mel hops on his drums, and Jack joins in with his guitar. They try doing "The Jack's Big Music Show Musical Cheer-Up". Mary joins in. They all are playing happy music. Jack asks the viewer how the music makes them feel. It makes Jack and Mary feel happy. Henry hears the happy music and joins in. They then start playing silly music and ask Henry how it makes him feel. This is repeated with sleepy music and excited music. Mary has the idea of playing scary music. If they play scary music, Henry might feel scary. They play scary music, which instantly works on Henry. He roars in a big and loud voice, which scares them. Jack is so scared that he flies into the air and lands on Mel's drums. They do it again. Then, Henry asks the viewer to be scary with him. He scares Mel, Mary, and Jack individually. Mel then grabs a camera to take Henry's photo for the Scary Monster Family Album. Before Henry leaves, he scares Jack again, making Jack fly into the air and landing on Mel's arms.
